Our take on SpinTel
SpinTel competes directly with Tangerine for the budget end of the NBN market. Standard prices are similarly low: NBN 25 is $69.95 against Tangerine's $72.90, though Tangerine's six-month introductory offers can be lower. SpinTel no longer sells a standalone NBN 50 plan, so if NBN 25 is not fast enough the next step is NBN 100 at $89.95. Customer satisfaction is slightly above average. Like Tangerine, the trade-off for the low price is less extensive ACCC speed verification and potentially less responsive support during peak demand. If you are comparing budget providers, check both SpinTel and Tangerine at your address and go with whichever is cheaper on the day.
